A kids’ haircut at Land of Barbers is for children from 6 months up to 12 years old, from a baby’s very first trim to a sharp school cut. It starts at $55 ($45 with Luis). The final price depends on the length and thickness of your child’s hair: long or thick hair takes more time and can cost $75–$80.
Who cuts kids’ hair
Iuliana and Patrizia are especially good with children: many of their regular clients are kids, and both cut every texture, straight, wavy and curly. Joe, Ivano and Luis also cut children, and Ivano and Luis are the ones to ask when a teenager wants a real taper or fade.
Tips for a first haircut
Pick a calm hour. Weekday afternoons after school and weekend mornings are quietest. Come fed and rested: a hungry, tired kid is a wriggly kid. Bring a photo of the look, or of a cartoon character’s hair, it helps more than you think. Tell us it’s the first cut when you book, and we will give it a little extra time.
How often
Short cuts and fades stay sharp for 3 to 4 weeks. Longer scissor cuts can go 6 to 8 weeks. For school photos, book about a week before so the cut has a few days to settle. For older kids who want something specific, read our guide to skin fades and tapers.
