What you'll do

Deliver the full Land of Barbers ritual on every service — real consultation, hot towels, cold-towel refresh, the reveal in the mirror
Build your book fast: new team members get first walk-ins, plus rebooking and The Club, our loyalty program
Keep your station and tools impeccable — the shop is part of the product
Be part of shop life: support the front desk, keep the standard high, look after the team

You

What we're looking for

Licensed Barber and/or Hairstylist (NY State) · ~2 years experience
All hair textures · clean, organized, time-efficient
Warm and talkative with clients · a team player with a sense of humor
Wednesday–Sunday availability

Role Two

Front Desk Associate

Be the first face of The Land of Barbers

$20/hour starting rate · W-2 position

Full 40-hour schedule expected at the completion of training · weekend availability required

The role

What you'll do

You are the first face our clients see and the last one they say goodbye to. Warmth, reliability, and attention to detail come first — and with them, real responsibility from day one. You'll be the engine of the shop.

Welcome every client — appointments and walk-ins — and make them feel at home (sofa, coat, menu, refreshment)
Manage bookings in Vagaro, our salon software
Check repeat clients' service history and keep appointments accurate
Handle check-out and rebooking, and suggest the right retail products
Keep the shop looking sharp between services — stations, towels, the small things that make the place feel cared for
Invite happy clients to share the love in a Google review

What we're looking for

Some experience in a salon/barbershop or hospitality preferred — not required
Warm with people, organized with details
Reliable — the desk is the heartbeat of the shop
Available Friday through Monday — weekends are the heart of the role
Fluent English
